Internet magazine reeD and FEDORIV Hub present project «Principles of Economics». This is the second season of weekly lecture «Economy Lab» where well-known experts talk about constructing of the economy, society and the state.
What is a valuable resource, which can not be increased? Time! Why is the phrase “time is money” is the key labor of market theory? Can the government to raise the minimum wage and does not expect an increase in the unemployment rate? Why unemployment is terrible? What do participants need at the modern labor market: more quality “flexible” jobs or job security at unproductive workplace? Strict labor legislation: is it effectively protects workers and gives it enough flexibility to investors and employers? At the presentation “Time is money” we will consider the answers to these questions.
Speaker: Olga Kupets – World Bank consultant, and Associate Professor at Department of Economic Theory of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. Olga graduated from the Physics and Mathematics of Cherkasy National University and a Master’s Consortium for Economic Education and Economic Research at the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy.
